I'm working on someone's computer that got hit by lightening. I'll put the money from that toward MW3. How much should I charge for identifying what parts still worked and which were fried. Then replace motherboard and power supply, back-up doc folder and install windows and drivers. I don't want to charge as much as a shop would, but I don't want to sell myself short either. I'm tired of being nice and telling people to pay me what they think the job was worth and getting $20. Quote From Nacelle.

I highjacked Nacelles post and I agree with him on charging people at least something. But in this case I couldnt help but sharing this:

Our water heater is 7 and a half years old and started going out. So for me paying 80 dollars in parts (Two thermostats, two heating elements) and fixing a relatives computer I made out like a desperado. Relative didn't charge me any labor.

All I'm doing is giving them an older 9600GT video card, I cant really use and rolling them back to Win 7-32 Bit because of compatibility with older games they like to play.

win win situation. Cool
