I have installed this SP on 5 machines so far... but they have all been new installs.
I am though having issues installing it on my bench machine.
I am curious to see how it goes on other machines that have been "lived in" for more than 20 minutes. Hopefully it goes smoother than my bench machine here at work.

I'm not an early adopter with these sort of things. Color me jaded by past service pack blunders, but I'll probably wait a month and see if anyone's raised any red flags. I can certainly understand those of you in the fields that you are in needing to do so, so that you can provide advice to others... but as a software developer I know all too well that mistakes (big mistakes) sometimes happen because something was overlooked.

My laptop has been running on this OS install for almost two years I think. Win7 enterprise edition.

I was lucky, I got in on Sandy Bridge the Friday before the big announcement.

I heard that the boards should be shipping again soon. Possibly early March.

Go for the Asus. The bios is better and the sata ports are all off the side and not sticking straight up from the board, blocking a second graphics card.

I second (or third?) the Asus board - quite happy with my last gen i7 Asus board (Deluxe/Premium). Very stable.
