I know there isn't anything that can be done, but i wanted to share my sadness. My C & Enter button on my keyboard at home no longer work. What are the odds of just those two keys going out? I guess i've never had a keyboard long enough for it to actually stop working, so i was really surpised when those keys didn't work...
Anyway i'm in the market for a keyboard if anyone has any suggestions. I'd like to keep the cost around $40 as i'd rather get a gaming moust than a gaming keyboard. I do'nt have any macros binded, so the thought of needing a $100 keyboard is pretty crazy!

Keyboards are something that are generally very much user preference driven, some people like mushy keys, the split keyboard design, etc. I have a wireless keyboard that's part of the obsoleted Logitech S510 ( www.newegg.com/Product...6823126180 ). This is one occasion where popping into the local stores to try things out may be a good idea. On NewEgg, though, there's a lot of great keyboards you can get for under $20. This link should be a sorted list of keyboards by highest rating, and you can still narrow down the choices on the left side. Be sure to read the negative reviews so you can see if it's a good choice for you:

I use the Apple Aluminum Keyboard and LOVE IT!
I prefer it for its short and light keythrow so i just have to brush the keys.

If you want a free used keyboard, we throw them out by the dozens on campus here. It would be a PS/2, probably Gateway brand, but I happen to like them quite a bit. It is what I used when I had a desktop. I could get you one if you are interested.

Can you reassign the Apple/option button to the Window key? The other two keys I would miss are Print Screen and Pause, can you remap some of the top right F keys for that?

I have not been able to do that. I can use f1-12 but the additional 7 function keys are useless... I spent some time initially seeing if there was a set of drivers for non boot camp windows installs to utilize these keys but ive been unable to find anything.
Ive often thought about tracking down someone who programs to see if they can come up with something.

Ahem..... here I am ... Very Happy

It was pretty easy in WinXP to remap keys, haven't tried with 7 yet.

Timberwolf keyboard

Thanks for the offer, but i'm a big fan of the key pad on the keyboard, plus after reading through some of the pros and cons on newegg, i'm not sure they balance for my uses.
Thanks for the offer. Maybe someone else is looking at that type of keyboard and will take you up on your offer.

I dont have the mouse, but it's a good keyboard and it comfy. I appreciate all the offers, i guess i'll focus on spending money on a gaming mouse instead of a keyboard, as the special keys for WASD doesn't appeal to me, but i would like to switch my sensitivity on the go with the mouse!

Buy one of those. It'll last forever. Of course, it will also make everyone think you have a typewriter instead of a computer.
