Thought I'd pass this along for those who like it.

I personally believe the game is well worth $30, it's only been basically a month since release. I got mine for $35 roughly and have been very happy with it.

Just blows my mind that this is 40% off and because of a misprint on the part of Best Buy, you can get COD MW2 for 50% off shortly after the release date. I guess there isn't a good reason to preorder, because you can just get it cheap a month later!

lol. Yeah, but you know if it weren't for that misprint that good 'ol Mr. Kotick wouldn't let the PC price drop $1 for a year... I've never seen it for less than $50 anywhere, while almost every other day on Slickdeals you'll see the console version of it for a great deal somewhere... But yeah there was absolutely zero reason to pre-order MW2 for the PC, there was no discount at all... and it's not like Steam is going to run out of copies Very Happy .. But this is one of those games that seem like they aren't going to do price cuts that often, so if I didn't know that I was getting this for Christmas from a family member already, I would definitely be picking it up for $30 now vs. having to wait over a year for it to drop to that price (maybe).

L4D2 on the other hand, they knew they were pissing people off by announcing the sequel so soon after release of the first and they've tried to make things good with the community I believe. The gameplay to me is much more fun than the original L4D, it's more competitive, and while the Source engine is definitely showing some age, it still looks stunning on a brand new graphics card. Also since its release this is probably the 5th time I've seen the price drop that low, they're making the game pretty accessible to those that want it. Plus their concept of pre-order was much better - guaranteed sales at a discounted rate! That's the only way pre-order makes any sense to me with a digitally distributed game....
